Remote Patient Monitoring

CatAI’s next-generation remote patient monitoring solution is based on the latest artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions which enable the tracking of vital signs at the convenience and comfort of the patient. The CatAI system is fully customizable and designed for hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home care agencies and health insurance companies.

Intuitive & Straightforward

With a single click, the CatAI user-friendly app transmits the measured parameters directly into the patient’s medical file, along with additional important medical information. CatAI is designed to operate with and uniquely, with older generation, non-transmitting, non-bluetooth, non-Wi-Fi devices. CatAI also reads more advanced, transmitting medical devices and delivers the required, extracted information to where it needs to be; the patients and their interdisciplinary care teams.

The monitored patient vital signs include any or all of the following:

  • Blood pressure

  • Heart rate/pulse

  • Oxygen saturation level/pulse oximetry

  • Temperature

  • Blood glucose level

  • Weight

  • Blood clotting level

  • Urine test

  • Wound care

  • ECG/EKG

  • And more

At the forefront of technology, CatAI can transit and extract the data into the native app or into the EMR of the hospital, clinic, skilled nursing facility, home care agency or health insurance company medical records platform.

  • When using bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled devices, the results are automatically transmitted to the CatAI app.

  • When using non-bluetooth or non-Wi-Fi enabled devices, the process consists of the following 5 simple steps:

Continuous Monitoring

All patient data is tracked via a fully customizable dashboard; the dashboard is a real-time display of up-to-the-minute data of all patients under the care of that team. Visual indicators are used to assist in a quick glance and triage of patients  based on their vital signs and uploaded data. When no readings have been received for more than a predefined period of time, the dashboard will displays that.

The patient or their registered contact person is then contacted to see if any assistance is required and the interdisciplinary team work to identify root causes for the delay or lack of compliance.

Alerts

AI and machine learning are the basis for detecting irregularities in measurements, and assist in immediately alerting the patient’s care team. Measurements are accessible both as values and as charts indicating changes over a chosen period (days to months), to support quick interpretation.

Family members can also be alerted, if so desired by the patient. Early detection of a change in condition, as evidenced by inconsistent or out-of-normal-range measurements, can quickly be addressed, before further adverse consequences occur.

Privacy and Confidentiality

CatAI follows the strict data access protocols to protect patient confidentiality at all times. All the medical data is securely uploaded to the AWS-health cloud. CatAI is compliant with the highest cyber protection requirements as set forth by:

  • The U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR)

  • The Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) Standard

2

The patient, a family member or a caregiver logs on to the CatAI app.

3

The patient takes a photograph of each result (blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, etc…) with the smartphone camera the system then uploads them one by one. Confirmation is provided after each photograph is uploaded.

1

The vital signs (heart rate, oxygen saturation level, etc.) that require monitoring, as determined specifically for the patient by their physician, are measured.

4

If desired by the interdisciplinary team, a tailored questionnaire, would populate the app; the questionnaire would be filled out as required. The questionnaires are fully customizable and cover a broad range of issues that the team regards as important for tracking and supporting the caregivers in evaluating the patient’s medical condition. The answers to these questions often provide early detection of health concerns.

5

CatAI's technology extracts data from photographs and records it in the patient's file, which is shared with relevant medical professionals and family members with the patient's consent in a HIPAA compliant manner. When a healthcare providers’ proprietary app is used, the photographs of the medical data is transmitted from the proprietary app to the CatAI app for data extraction. The data is stored in the healthcare provider system, and the process is the same for patients regardless of which app is used.
